Summertime in Memphis is an exciting time because it means Rooftop Party season at The Peabody Hotel is finally here! There is no better way to spend a warm summer night than with cool drinks and a sky-high view of the sun setting over the Mississippi River. The motto at the Peabody is, “Come Early, Stay Late, Turn up.” Of course, all those who attend these special events at the Peabody must be 21 years old or over. The Rooftop Parties take place from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. every Thursday, starting April 16th and ending almost four months later on August 13th. The large, open setting on the roof makes for fabulous acoustics from live entertainment bands and DJ Mark Anderson. The inviting atmosphere is also paired with a weekly themed snack bar and unique drink specials.

Weekly admission for the rooftop parties ranges from $10 to $15. However, guests of the hotel get free admittance before 7 p.m. VIP passes are available at the door for $150 (a $550 value), which includes admittance to all 18 parties and even access into the VIP Lounge. VIP pass holders also receive a free t-shirt and other unique discounts from Chez Philippe, Capriccio Grill, Peabody Deli & Desserts, and Sammy Hagar’s Red Rocker Bar & Grill at Southland Park Gaming & Racing throughout the 2015 Rooftop Party season. This is definitely something to take advantage of!

Be sure to come to downtown Memphis this summer to experience the Mississippi from one of the most famous hotels in the country. Not only do you get to jam on the rooftop of an iconic Memphis hotel, but you get a great view of downtown Memphis, a city that thrives on any given night of the week. Bring family and friends to enjoy this unique experience with, but make sure to stop and visit the ducks along the way. Even if you can’t commit to a VIP pass, the individual parties are definitely worth attending. So spice up your Thursdays on the rooftop this summer because you will definitely be leaving the night on a high note!
