Memphis is about to be the home of one of the nicest Minor League Baseball stadiums in the country; the updated AutoZone Park. As the home of the Memphis Redbirds, AutoZone Park is undergoing a multimillion-dollar stadium renovation that will improve the ballpark experience for Memphians all around.

The St. Louis Cardinals, the MLB affiliate of the club, and the city of Memphis are hoping that this upgrade will turn AutoZone Park into a place where everyone wants to visit that will hold events that everyone will want to experience.

The renovations will remove 3000 seats, almost a 25 percent reduction in the total capacity, from the stadium to make room for the new amenities.  The new ballpark capacity after the renovation will be 10,000 people.

A 14’ x 140’ LED video wall will be added in left field, which consists of 900 square feet of LED ribbon boards along the first and third base lines. Additionally, enough new bluff seating to sit 1,500 people along the left and right fields will be added. These are just some of the large changes coming to AutoZone Park.

If you’re looking for a first class baseball experience, AutoZone Park will provide a brand new, all-inclusive club in right field.  Purchasing tickets to this new space will grant you access to indoor/outdoor seating, retractable windows, pool tables, and TVs, as well as a full service bar with draft beers and wine.

A private option for viewing the game also exists, as you can now sit in the new addition of 39 “Four Top Tables.”  Sitting in these 360 degree swiveling stadium seats will grant any patron a pre-game buffet and in seat service.

For a more affordable visit to the park, grab tickets to the relocated berm seating in left and right field, find a seat on the grass nice and close to the action, and enjoy the nearly located food and drinks.

Speaking of food and drinks, all of the concession stands throughout the main concourse will be receiving various upgrades.  A new BBQ-themed destination will be added to the outfield concourse, and a bar in left field featuring high top tables, drink rails, and TVs will grace the park as well.

Not only will fans be the beneficiaries of the renovations, but the ballplayers will be on a brand new field with fully replaced sod, a new infield, and a warning track.

Come the beginning of the season, the new and improved AutoZone Park is going to be a perfect place to spend those perfect April Spring days. Everything is scheduled to be completed by the Redbirds’ first exhibition game on Friday, April 3, when the MLB St. Louis Cardinals come to town.

Be sure to get out and see the Redbirds and experience our new ballpark!
